EDUCATION

If you:

  • Want to pursue a career in nature-guiding;
  • Are a career nature-guide looking to enhance your qualifications;
  • Are an international university looking for study-abroad credits for your students, or;
  • Are simply someone who wants to learn more about Africa’s ecosystems;

Then EcoTraining can provide you with the in-depth learning experiences that you need!

Endorsed by the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) EcoTraining’s professional field-guide courses lead to recognised qualifications in the eco-tourism industry. Our instructors are all highly-experienced guides who are now passing their knowledge and experience onto our learners.  They’ll reveal the intricate workings of the ecosystem to you: the geology and soils, the plants and insects, the reptiles and amphibians, the birds and spiders and of course the large mammals.

Come and do our one-year professional field-guide course which encompasses FGASA Level 1, FGASA Trails Guide and Birding, Tracking and other modules as well as placement at a safari lodge and  you’ll have a massive advantage when you apply for that dream job.

Or if you don’t have time to set aside a year, start off by doing the 55-day Level 1 course and come back later to do the other modules. ]
